It is important to me, that while in therapy, you don't feel like you have to share a space with a stranger. My goal here is to let you know some fun facts about me so you can make an informed decision on if I will be a good personality fit.
I amfrom Northeastern North Carolina, received my undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from UNC at Greensboro and my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Outside of mental health counseling I enjoy building and riding motorcycles, being outdoors, sports of all kinds, and nurturing my relationships with friends and family. These outlets are important for me and my work, but more importantly they are assets in my goal to practice what I preach in sessions on a day-to-day basis.

I also have worked with many adults dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, trauma and more.
Outside of being an LPC, I enjoy the beach and being outside, spending time with my family and friends, finding new restaurants to try, reading and traveling.
My goal for therapy is to help my clients learn and utilize tools to help them tackle any obstacle or challenges they may be dealing with.

Our Story

Drs. Salma and Landen Green
Co-Founders
One patient changed it all...
A severely depressed, middle aged man was coaxed into visiting Dr. L Green one day mid-2024. Reluctant in the past for therapy, he finally agreed that even though, in his mind, it was unlikely to help, at least it wouldn't hurt and he would give it a try.
Elated, Dr. Green provided him all the usual resources he would typically hand patients. A few business cards of local therapist, a few website links to browse virtual therapists, and a few books to help guide any journaling or reflection efforts. In a way, that attempt was a success, because the patient laughed.... but the joke was on Dr Green.
"Doc, I don't want to get out of bed to use the bathroom or make a sandwich, you think I am going to call and email people?!"
And Dr. Green agreed, dumb move on his part. He decided he would work to set the patient with a therapist. Over fifty calls and emails later, ONE response was recieved (and only to politely inform Dr Green they were no longer taking on new patients).
We new mental health access was tough, but we didn't expect it to be that difficult. After thinking about how patients managing mental health struggles must feel by having to work so hard to not find quality, affordable help, we decided to try and create a resource for just that.
Direct Therapy Collab was created to help patients more consistently, more thoroughly, and more comprehensively discuss sustainable mental health habits and receive therapy when needed all while making it affordable and accessible.
We have had years of experience in primary care and understand first hand both from a doctor's point of view and a patient's how extremely difficult finding affordable and accessible therapy can be. We also have seen how important it is and how much of a positive impact it can make. Our goal is to be the mental health therapy resource for DPC patients and doctors so that we can provide the same genuine care with the same convenience and high value.
Drs. Salma and Landen met in medical school in North Carolina. They are both board certified family medicine physicians and hold multi-state licenses. The currently co-own a private practice, Direct Primary Care clinic in Southern California focusing on providing patients with personal, accessible, convenient, and affordable care.
